Born Mellissa Ulachi Ulanma Offoha and known to family and friends as LACHI, this Brooklyn-based singer and pianist is a songwriter of great emotional depth. Born visually impaired, LACHI was a complete shut in and almost clinically mute throughout school. Her mother noticed she was into music and bought LACHI a keyboard at a young age.

Afterwards, she would lock herself in her room and begin to write innumerable songs.
