        If this album came out in any year EXCEPT 1989, it would have probably qualified as the best album of the year. As is, it had to fight with KRS-One, EPMD AND Rakim for shelf space. This album, though, is airtight, top to bottom. The title track, Ain't No Half-Steppin' and Raw makes this a MUST HAVE for anyone who calls him or herself a fan of this thing called hip-hop.
