Jammy Jay Jamson Esquire You know, To Da Break of Dawn is arguably the best dis track ever. Before it was released, LL was a bit of a laughing stock with his love-raps. He was an easy target for Kool Moe D, Ice T and Hammer because even rap fans thought LL had become a joke. But with this track he destroyed all 3 of them with a delivery that was an example of non shouty, fine, controlled aggression and contained bundles of hip-hop quotables..."now you’re getting done without Vaseline", "gimme a lighter, whooof! now you’re cut loose, from that Geri-curl juice" and my personal fave " you little hip-hop Raccoon". I know some people like other dis tracks (Jay Z and Nas had some good battles on wax) but seriously, LL took out 3 rappers and made the whole rap community and fans think twice before underestimating Uncle L again
