    I'm a huge Smiths fan, and this is probably my favourite album. No, not because it's called Meat Is Murder and I am a vegetarian, although i'm not gonna lie, that obviously contributes.
    
    This really is more than just you're average 80s album, it spoke up for so many different causes and had a such an important message. Meat is Murder obviously promoting vegetarianism, but there were also issues like anarchy and corporal punishment attacked and the way Morrissey inflicts his views are so personal. I don't know how he does it but when ever I hear his voice I feel like he is talking directly to me, it's magic. Beautiful lyrics and powerful riffs, a contender for the best album of the 80s. It will always have a place in my heart.
