    This is one of my favorite Opeth albums, starting with the 13 minute long Advent and ending with one of their most touching songs To Bid You Farewell it's an epic journey through the forest of metal. Fans from a broad spectrum of musical genres would probably appreciate this album as it has something for the black/death metal person and even for the progressive rock person (some of the acoustic parts remind me of Floyd/Emerson Lake and Palmer). The 20 minute long Black Rose Immortal is a real treat and a journey by its self.. This is just simply an amazing album. Listeners tip: listen to the guitars in the left and right speakers, they're almost always playing something different! Makes a cool effect on headphones

    I think there's not enough metalheads in here. Howcome this great album can not be known. I listened this album in 1997 first and since then it's still on the top of my favorite albums list.
