    Borrowed this album off my mate Paul in late 1983, heard Radio Free Europe, Catapult and Talk About The Passion and was instantly hooked. We saw them at Newcastle Tiffanys not long after there were about 500 people there so we sat on the edge of the stage!! Still my favourite REM album.

    I.R.S. has truely regained noteriaty amongst it's fans whith the band R.E.M. which can be said to be one of the FINEST bands in my short time spent on this, our Third Rock from the Sun.

    It's good that R.E.M were part of my youth, it kept me grounded. Understated to overwhelming, the good guys won.
