    Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld is that rarest of records - a true rule-breaker: More like a symphony than a pop album in structure, Alex Patterson and an ever-revolving cast of collaborators layered samples and original compositions in new ways to mesmerizing effect. The tracks all run seamlessly from one into the next, and this double album (and you MUST get the 2 disc version - accept no edits!) is a continuous piece of music that deservedly set the scene for a rich musical career. 20 years on, I still stumble on the sources for samples I have known and loved for decades and they truly were found from places far and wide.
