    The September 11, 2001 tragedy has been the essential soul of Pearl Jam’s song World Wide Suicide that depicts Vedder’s anger about the Iraq War, especially on the Bush administration. Eddie Vedder regretted the government’s cover up for what really happened to Patrick Daniel Tillman Jr, an American Football player who left his career as a professional to enlist in the US Army, by hiding the truth from his family. Countless soldiers were killed apart from Tillman yet they neither receive any rewards nor coverage. It is reported that the ten-page coronary report on Tillman consisted nothing but lies for Tillman and his unit didn’t die in an ambush but in a friendly fire.
