The most powerful album by Rush indicated by Lee's vocal qualities, overall songs, Neil Peart's complex drumming techniques as well as Alex Lifeson's amazing guitar play. Being its eleventh album, Power Windows covers various issues around the world such as money power (Big Money), talk (Grand Designs), weapons (Manhattan Project), persistance (Marathon), world domination (Territories), dreams (Middletown Dreams), emotions (Emotion Detector) and the unknown (Mystic Rhythms).

Rush's 1985 album 'Power Windows' kicks off with a powerful bang, the explosive "The Big Money", and right from the start you know that Rush are in fine form this time around.

The keyboards are still largely evident in the mix, but the guitars are becoming more and more evident, as Rush learn to stike up the perfect mix between the two instruments. The reason could possibly be producer Peter Collins, who makes his Rush debut with this disc. And the proffesor, Neil Peart, has never sounded better with an aray of new percussion instruments added to his already massive drum kit.

The songs are great, with no filler material on the set. Song's like the synth driven "Grand Designs", the historic "Manhattan Project", the driving "Marathon" (with amazing axe work from Lerxst) the tribal "Territories" and the haunting "Mystic Rhythms" make 'Power Windows' an obvious addition to any Rush collection.
