Great record from Paul! My favorite of his solo stuff, and if you like quirky songs with a low-fi sound give it a shot.

This has been Paul's best solo album in my opinion, and one of my favorites. It is a complete in your face to the Beatles pop. In the end it is very enjoyable and something you want to come back to time and time again.
Perhaps it was the fornicating Beetles on the back cover or some lyrics - but John responded with Imagine and at least the song "How Do You Sleep?" as a direct attack. My theory is the entire Imagine album is a song for song attack having listened and studied both. I'm sure most will think it a stretch; but, if the Beetles had recorded the song "Imagine" it would have been a McCartney tune, all the way down to being a saccharine uplifting topic, make the world better, piano piece. My theory was Lennon was tossing this out as a form of mockery back to Paul. Folks probably won't like my theory but if true, it means the Beatles were together (in a way) after the breakup, probably on similar terms as the last couple years.
