    Songs of love and hate, and vengeance, and anger, and insanity, and betrayal, and angst, and sex, and BDSM, and all the other lovely stuff that goes with it. f this wasn't so brilliantly written, you'd be tempted to dismiss Harvey as a mentally unstable man-hating harpie, but under the watchful eye of Steve Albini, she ramps up the vengeful bitchiness tenfold from Dry, until it reaches boiling point. Hers was now a voice that couldn't be ignored or overlooked - this record is as harsh, combustible, intoxicating as moonshine, and even though she's arguably made better albums, it remains her defining work.
