    Rubber Soul marks the beginning of the 'New' Beatles. An album which shows properly for the first time the amazing talent that was contained within Lennon and McCartney in terms of both lyrical and music arrangements. Its an album that shows a more mature band for the first time, after their amazing success with proper 'pop' songs, compositions such as Norwegian Wood, and 'In My Life' showed a more sensitive side, and Lennon's autobiographical nature in his songwriting. Its sometimes difficult to see where Rubber Soul stops, and the more critically acclaimed 'Revolver' starts, but listening to them both, you realise how amazing the Beatles were, and how far other musicians were away from them in terms of output and diversity. Stick it on, turn it up and enjoy with a big smile on your face!!!!!
