SEASON 4 MUSIC FROM THE SHOWTIME SERIES CALIFORNICATION is a joint venture between Scion Music Group and Arrival Records with distribution by Fontana Distribution. This project is supported by Showtime. The album includes 13 tracks specifically chosen for the project that embody the character and feel of the show.
One story line that runs throughout Season 4 revolves around the band Queens of Dogtown, (QOD) formed by character Becca Moody. During Season 4, Becca recruits Zoë, played by Zoë Kravitz (daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet), to front QOD. The band first appears in episode 4 where they perform the Misfits classic Last Caress.
Later in episode 5, QOD performs Would?(originally by Alice in Chains) at the famed LA bar Whisky a Go Go (footage of which will be edited into a promotional music video for the soundtrack). The soundtrack features four exclusive tracks 3 by Queens of Dogtown and 1 from Tommy Lee (Mötley Crüe) and a potential bonus track of Plush (originally recorded by Stone Temple Pilots) performed by QOD.
