There aren't many albums that could be classified as one of the best in the universe, but this is one. Steveland Morris is a rare gem whose vocal expressions are as effortless and smooth as freshly churned butter being spread gingerly over warm, homemade biscuits. Stevie has a gift. What he possesses can't be taught, mixed or synthesized. It has to come from a place much higher than where mere mortals dare tread.

Songs in the Key of Life is devoid of any artistic or lyrical weaknesses. Instead it is a masterpiece that addresses all of society's ills, pains and triumphs. From the love missive to his daughter, Aisha in "Isn't she lovely' to "Black Man" an appeal to the world that we all have something to contribute to the betterment of it to "Love's in Need of Love Today" which promotes tolerance and acceptance. If you have not listened to this album, do your heart and spirit a favor.....go out today and buy it.

One of the few albums I would recommend to anyone. Stevie Wonder remains one of this generations greatest artists and this is one of the reasons why.

Every single song is amazing! Decades later, and while jamming to "I Wish those Days..." I realized that my side of the intersection was jamming with me--hands and fingers tapping steering wheels and heads bobbing. If Stevie Wonder doesn't get your ass moving, we need to put nice clothes on you and bury you in a box.

This is probably the 3rd best pop album I've ever heard.--Apart from the 70's style synthesizers that make the album feel a bit dated, the lyrics on this album are incredible. I really admire Stevie's attempt to unite the world with his idealistic, almost utopic, message that flows throughout the entire album. Sometimes the lyric's meaning is a little hard to comprehend, which is actually a testament to how advanced Stevie's skills are as a writer.-- The overall message of this album stands the test of time, and every music lover who cares about the people of the world should own a copy of 'Songs in the Key of Life'.
