    One of the best 80's albums ever. It is rare that an 80's compilation is as good as this and the songs come from a single band.

    Ahhh...My all time favorite band(s), NO/JD. Owning nearly every release on vinyl except for a few early 7" singles and early Joy Division original pressings on vinyl, CD releases, rereleases, bootlegs, VHS documentaries and some DVD concerts, I cannot get enough of them. From the first time I saw Power, Corruption and Lies' gorgeous album artwork by Fantin-LaTour sitting on a friend of a friends dresser, next to his turntable(he was in college, we were HS Freshmen), I curiously picked it up and began to examine the unique sleeve. Then, he asked if I had ever heard them, to which I replied, I don't think so...he proceeded to put on side one and change my life forever. I listened, mesmerized by the beauty of the music, original vocals, sweeping synths, throbbing beat, "what is this bass player doing, playing so low on the fretboard, so melodically, like nothing I had ever heard, never have since and never will. I remember rushing to our local indie music store(recently closed/own...

    I remember they came to Begium, de panne, at the Seaside festival. They were the last act. I believe Siouxie was before them. Everybody was leaving, no one would stay to see them. But when they started to play: ... wow....almost everybody came back! They were very good!

    New Order has to be one of the top new wave bands. Bizzare love triangle is timeless. Love their sound and vive.
