    Ghosted in with this third album after a long wait. They reward the listener with repeated playthroughs. I think this is a great album, possibly their best. The debut was incredible, the second felt like re-treading old ground a little. This album feels more complete, the experimentation of new sounds twist into dark and emotive soundscapes. Beth's voice a siren call, sweeping through pulsing electronic waves.

    While not quite as Trip Hop as their earlier albums, Third is definitely a good album, and was a welcome return to Portishead! I forget the title offhand, but I think it's track 5 with the "machine gun" type beat was my favorite of the album.
