    I remember when this album (LP) came out. IDK anyone who didn't have it. Ten it came out on cassette, and IDK anyone who didn't have it. Same with the CD. It was time time of Disco, and 'Billy Jean', 'Thriller', most of the songs from it, when they played the dance floors were packed! This album set the standard, and is a major part of every "Baby Boomer's" memory.
    
    Vincent Price did the narration for the song, 'Thriller'. A major cross-over for the iconic actor, and IMO a tribute to the genius of Michael Jackson.
    
    The VIDEOS M.J. did for the songs from the album were "wait for it" events on the fledgling music TV station, MTV. You would schedule watching them, as you do your favorite TV show today.
    
    The Thriller Album changed music, and what we expected from it.

      Trpster* I wonder if anyone born after 1970 can REALLY understand the IMPACT of Michael Jackson's Thriller Album on music culture. Thriller music videos created MTV in my opinion.

    Michael Jackson's Thriller album was recorded April 14th - November 8th, 1982. The album was released on November 30th, 1982. With songs: "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'," "Baby Be Mine," "The Girl Is Mine," "Thriller," "Beat It," "Billie Jean," "Human Nature," "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)," and, "The Lady In My Life." In just one year, Thriller became and currently remains--the best-selling album of all time, with sales estimated by various sources as somewhere between 65 and 110 million copies worldwide, and is the best-selling album in the United States. Seven of the album's ine songs were released as singles, and all reached the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100. The album won a record-breaking eight Grammy Awards at the 1984 Grammys. Michael Jackson's Thriller album, along with all of his albums changed the world of music.
