One of the most interesting movies that was never meant to be made. Orson Welles started out to do a documentary on a well known and very good counterfeiter of famous art works. (Elmyr de Hory.) While he was filming the story of Hory at his house in Spain, Hory was being interviewed for a book by Clifford Irving. Welles speculates that while interviewing the great faker Hory, Irving hatched the idea to create a fake autobiography of Howard Hughes using faked letters supposedly signed by Hughes.

I didn't realize that Orson Welles directed this movie. It was fascinating and Anthony Perkins was a great protagonist awaiting a trial on which he knows nothing about. The cinematography is very well done and creates a sense of paranoia and just being a cog in a machine.

I haven't been a big fan of ice hockey until the recent Winter Olympics. I watched a lot of men's and women's ice hockey and I really enjoyed it. I still don't like the fact that it is almost impossible to see the puck when the play moves near the goals because of other players blocking the view and the relatively tiny size of the puck and the speed that it travels during a sudden shock. But all in all, I really enjoyed watching ice hockey.

Much less expensive than buying the hard cover edition of a book.
