Mike Stearns I love this album and don't really listen to anything else similar but for some reason this one resonates more than others. There's an originality and cohesiveness to it that doesn't exist with most other stuff in the same genre. It got ripped off constantly immediately after its release, but with Converge you can tell there were tons of influences coming into the fold that had nothing to do with metal. Plus the post JANE DOE albums almost stylistically dictate the use of a double (all of which are as diverse from first to last as they are from JANE DOE) which is obviously used and comparable. This band rules. I love drums. I feel like a nerd -
