Albums: Cansei de Ser Sexy, Donkey, La Liberacion

CSS (also known as Cansei de Ser Sexy) is a band from São Paulo, Brazil, formed at the end of 2003. The name is Portuguese for "Tired of Being Sexy" (taken from something Beyonce once commented to the press; "I am tired of being sexy"). The members are: Lovefoxxx (vocals), Adriano Cintra (drums, guitar, vocals and production), Luiza Sá (guitar, drums and keys), Ana Rezende (guitar and harmonica), Iracema Trevisan (bass) and Carolina Parra (guitar and drums).

The brazilian band became famous at Trama Virtual website, which is a kind of Brazilian MySpace. Before signing with a major label, in 2004, they played at Tim Festival in the same night and at the same stage that 2ManyDJs and Kraftwerk performed. In 2005, they signed with Trama Virtual and in October of the same year their first album was released in Brazil along with an EP that can be bought at concerts.

In the beginning of 2006, CSS signed with Sub Pop to release their first international album and in July undertook a thirty-gig tour through the USA and Canada along with DJ Diplo and Bonde do Rolê. Near the end of 2007, a student posted an iPod Touch ad containing the song Music Is My Hot, Hot Sex, which was later picked up by Apple and broadcast as an official ad. In April 2008 (shortly after signing with Warner Music Group), Iracema Trevisan left the band; Adriano Cintra replaced her on bass guitar.

The band is currently working with a session drummer, Jon Harper of The Cooper Temple Clause. "Rat Is Dead (Rage)", the first single to be taken from their second album, Donkey, was made available as a free download from the CSS website in April 2008. Donkey, was released on July 21, 2008 with first single proper, "Left Behind", preceding it earlier in the month.
