Disasterpeace (Rich Vreeland) is an American musician and composer originally from the Staten Island section of New York City. He draws heavily from the influences of his favorite musicians and composers, the audio aesthetic of retro video game soundchips, and his music studies to create music that varies in scope, structure, tonality, meter, timbre and theme. He currently attends the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts where he studies Music Synthesis.
DISASTERTRON In January of 2006, Disasterpeace began working and collaborating with spamtron, a videogame inspired musician. The collaboration between Spamtron and Disasterpeace was named DISASTERTRON. The duo released an EP entitled "Cereal Code" in May of 2006 on MegaTwerp which can be found here.
In December 2006, Spamtron left the DISASTERTRON project and future releases will include numerous artists. The previously planned second release, "NEUTRALITE", was released as a Disasterpeace album in August of 2007. It can be downloaded for free from II
