Thank God! I love them so much! Listening to them makes me dance around and "groove" or else I would probably get no excercise at all!

They have my vote for "cutest band of the 80's"!

Just one of those bands (some people may not be willing to admit it) that you just can't NOT like! Fun and silly!

I am so, so, so glad I knew about this band in the early 80's! I will always love them!

ALMOST the most fun band I've ever listened to! Definately can't sit still playing "Pelican West"!

Formed from a band ‘Moving England’, Nick Heyward and Les Nemes met guitarist Graham Jones to form a new band. Musically their influences ranged far and wide with Nick inspired by the Beatles, Talking Heads and jazz; Les by Faces, The Jam, and funk and reggae, and Graham with The Clash, Sex Pistols, and Hot Rod music, surf and dub. This infusion of styles along with Heyward's lyrics gave birth to Haircut One Hundred. Joined by drummer Pat Hunt and manager Karl Adams the band recorded some demos. They asked Phil Smith to help with saxophone on session. This worked well so he was asked to join the band for gigs. Needing something else, Smith's university friend Marc Fox joined to add Brazilian percussion.[citation needed]

A bidding war from the labels ensued, but it was Arista Records that won their signatures. They entered Chalk Farm’s Roundhouse studios to record their debut single "Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl)". Its jazz funk sound, Talking Heads style guitars, Latin ...

How could anyone NOT like Haircut 100? It is just such happy, uplifting music! I LOVE THEM!
