it would be funny if they weren't serious. Since they are, it's almost like goth folk music. I have a Mighty Boosh visual in my head.

Nathan R It's called "Neofolk" and as a genre, it's been around for decades. They're not all that serious, really... I mean, they're serious musicians but they have a pretty good sense of humor, unlike many "goth" artists. But yeah, Edward's often called "the Elmer Fudd of goth" event thought they're not really goth. They just get lumped into that category since a good portion of the fan base identify as such.
And I can't help but ask... did you mean "A Mighty Wind?" I'm not familiar with Mighty Boosh, but A Mighty Wind is a folk music parody flick. -
Fred Neidhardt No. Mighty Boosh was a British comedy show. In one of the episodes, one of the main characters is shown in a flashback in one of his earlier bands with one other person, both wearing thick sweaters, kiss makeup and wielding acoustic guitars doing folk rock. The end credits roll on that episode with the two of them doing a very thick accented acoustic version of "Breaking the Law(r)"
I highly recommend the series if you like British humor, or rather humour.
I loved Spinal Tap, but just wasn't feeling it so much with A Mighty Wind. -
