My mom knows that their shows are like a therapy session and I get really happy for weeks before and after. So she's driving from Vegas to San Diego so I can go to their show on June 9th. My mom pretty much beats every other mom.

Driving from Alabama to Bamboozle in 2 days! Can't wait to see the wonder years, brand new, foo fighters and incubus!!!

I'm really excited to drive 4+ hours to see my favorite dudes in a few weeks, and it's never too early to get stoked on it.

I think its safe to say, and I feel many would agree, that The Wonder Years have expanded the genre of what is now considered Pop Punk. No small feat. Their DIY attitude, passionate performances that often seem to trancend a mere "show", and their heartfelt delivery of witty, intelligent, and poetic lyrics, forge a bond with their audience that appears far stronger than simply artist and fans. They never talk down or pander to their audience. They couldn't. They ARE their audience. They are all in this together. If this ship sinks, they'll sing a chorus rather than jump ship. It's a fun and funny cruise. Invoking pathos, with a dose of misery, and angst, for sure. But also self-deprecating humor, and stories, and characters. It's a ride. Rough seas or smooth sailing. That's a boat I want to be on.
