Albums: Three Days Grace, One-X, One X

Three Days Grace is a post-grunge band that was formed in Norwood, Ontario, Canada in 1997.The band consists of 4 members; Adam Gontier (vocals and guitar), Brad Walst (bass), Neil Sanderson (drums and backing vocals) and Barry Stock (guitar). They originally formed as a quintet in 1992 under the name Groundswell, then changed their name to Three Days Grace and became a quartet in 1997. The group moved from Norwood to Toronto and met producer Gavin Brown, formerly of the band Big Sugar.

Brown helped them produce their self-titled debut album, "Three Days Grace," which was released in 2003; it reached the top ten of the Canadian albums chart, the top 100 of the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart, and number-one on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart. The album's hit lead single, "(I Hate) Everything About You", reached number-one in Canada and the top ten in the U.S. The second single "Just Like You", gave the group a second number-one in Canada. A third single, "Home", was also released.

Brown won a Juno Award in 2004 (see Juno Awards of 2004) for his production on the album and his work on Try Honesty by the band Billy Talent. Three Days Grace were also nominated for best New Group Of The Year but lost to Billy Talent. In 2005, Adam went to rehab for an addiction to Oxycontin at the Toronto rehab center CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health), which is where many of the songs for One-X were written, including Animal I Have Become, Never Too Late, Pain, Gone Forever, and a few more.

As a band, Three Days Grace appeared in the film Raise Your Voice starring Hilary Duff. On March 31, 2006, the band released their first single off of their album One-X entitled "Animal I Have Become." One-X was released on June 13, 2006, and landed at #5 on the U.S. Billboard 200. In the record's first week, it sold over 78,000 copies.

Three Days Grace is on tour with Staind to promote the record. The album's second single, "Pain", has just been released to radio in North America. "Animal I Have Become" and "Riot" were both featured on the 2006 released video game WWE SmackDown vs.

RAW 2007. "Riot" was also featured on the cbs network television show, "The Unit" Three Days Grace's 2009 album entitled "Life Starts Now" is scheduled to be released September 22, 2009 in the US. The first single, "Break", is scheduled for release on September 2, 2009.
