"Crush" has to be one of the most beautiful, touching, soul-stirring, simply perfect love songs *ever* written.
I love this album, and "The Last Stop" is one of my all-time favorite songs. - Shanna Riley on March 12, 2010 at 9:19amShanna Riley visited The King's Daughter. A Novel of the First Tudor Queen via Glue Suggestions

Looking for more information on this much-aligned queen, I read CW Gortner's "The Last Queen".
This book was an excellent historical fiction, based on the life of Juana of Castile, who was betrayed and imprisoned by those she loved (her husband, her father, and later her own son) and - rather than being actually mad - was portrayed as such so that the men in her life could usurp her crown.
Mostly forgotten by history or regaled simply as "The Mad", she was more important than a cursory look at her history would have you believe. An infanta of Spain, she was the daughter of Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile; the rulers who funded Christopher Columbus's voyage to America. Her sister was Catherine of Aragon, the first unfortunate queen of Henry VIII, and her son was Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor.
Juana was kept imprisoned for 46 years of her life, the majority of it at Tordesillas, Spain in the Santa Clara convent; she died in 1555 at the age of 76. - Shanna Riley on March 12, 2010 at 8:22amShanna Riley liked Philip II of Spain on en.wikipedia.org
