I read this while on vacation in Napa. An excellent 30 min read. Not worth the $16 I paid, but eloquent, insightful and moving.

A perfect companion to "Layout Essentials" book by Ben Tondreau. This is my style of learning. Boil a topic down to its fundamentals and provide lots of examples, rapid fire style.

If you look past the "our firm does it right" sales pitch of the book, this book is great. It really does point to what effective marketing should be.

Changing the world more often than not requires us to change people along with it. This book is the best guide out there on how to do that.

This book shines in it's discussion of how values drive organizations and how different types of people help create strong networks.

I really enjoyed Invictus. You've got to go in focusing on Morgan Freeman and the importance of the story of Mandela's relationship with the Rugby team, rather than expect a "Rudy" type of experience. This movie falls a bit short on the sports drama, but there are moments where Morgan Freeman is great.

I have it on good authority that this book is worth the time it takes to get through all 768 pages

A lovely collection of essays that focus mainly on issues of "self" and on the relevance of literature in society

Fred's blog has been a daily read for me for a few years now. He's a thought leader and, unlike many of his peers in the VC world, he lives and breathes what he does.

This is actually a very comprehensive book on Blogging, but it might be outdated now. I'd check out R. Scoble's "Naked Conversations" first.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first 3/4 of this book. Alan is surprisingly open and human. In spite of this work being a dense, he's quite pithy.

The content of this book is 100% Gary. If you follow him online, you've already heard him talk about most of what's in here (except you do get some insight into how he got started and his life). His message is clear - The details of the technology doesnt matter nearly as much as passion and hustle. Know your DNA, niche yourself, get out there on every platform that matters and differentiate yourself with effort. The book is short - only 140 pages, so you fly through it. If you can, get the Crush IT VOOK so you get Gary on video throughout too.

Chris is just amazing. Just reading his blog for a couple of years saved me thousands on travel. He's full of useful information.

A quick, important read for anyone who works in a team environment. Provides a good framework for understanding how effective teams GTD.

I've been obsessed with the Design Thinking movement over the last few years so this book was a no brainer. I enjoyed the second half of this book far more than the first - that's where the real meat is. The first half is good, but it feels a bit too much like marketing for IDEO. The case studies are good, there's just not much there. Lots more "how" and "why" once you cross the half way point. The "new social contract" section stuck out for me. This book is still great and it makes you think. Recommended.

First discover how little you know about religion, then learn. Very useful book.
