So now my precious 88 yr old Grandmother has decided she needs baby turkeys.. She swears it's for my nephew.. :)

He seems to respond to the dogs for some reason. lol He looks just like the turkey in the picture too. He fluffs up all big and threatens to attack the boys when they go out there to look at him.

Brine was a smash success. Will definitely repeat.

Hope those who eat meat, enjoyed their turkey this year.. I cooked a wild turkey (yummy) this year that I bagged in april.. so much better tasting than a farm raised turkey..

Bird in the brine. Apple cider, garlic, carrots, celery, rosemary, sage, brown sugar...and of course salt. 36 hours then air chilling.
