Savannah's are pretty much a breed of cat that loves to take a walk on the wild side.As a result, this cat is banned in several states like Georgia,Hawaii,Massachusetts, and a few other states. This cat has a hissing growl that resembles a snake, which can catch an owner off guard.
This breed needs to be kept in doors because their wild side can get them into trouble if they escape.Australia has also pretty much banned this cat due to fear that this cat could reproduce wild kittens that could act more feral than domestic.Bengal breeder Judee Frank crossbred a Serval and a domestic cat, producing the first Savannah (named Savannah) on April 7, 1986.
I have met one of these cats! He seemed to be very friendly, and perhaps a bit mischeivous!! From what his human mom says, they are rather dog-like and really like people.
