Cydia is the main App Store for all Jailbroken (google it) iDevices (iPhone, iPod & iPad). It can only be installed onto a Jailbroken device & then the user can browse the store, rather like the App Store or iTunes Store, only Cydia has much more. Once clear of Apple's restrictions (which Jailbreaking does), you can do pretty much anything on your iDevice & through Cydia you can install new Tweaks (aka Mods), Themes, Games, Ringtones & much more. The more Repository's (Sources) you add to Cydia, the more Packages are available. There are a lot paid App's & Theme's etc, but the majority of the thinds inside Cydia are free.
In a nutshell, Cydia is a one stop shop for all Jailbroken devices. Happy installing!
