Mockingbird (Barbara "Bobbi" Morse-Barton) is a fictional character, a superhero in the Marvel Comics Universe. Created by writer Len Wein and artist Neal Adams, she first appeared in Astonishing Tales #6 (June 1971). Mockingbird was created by writer Len Wein and artist Neal Adams in 1971 as a supporting character in the second Man-Thing story (as Barbara Morse); this story was delayed in publication quite some time before finally appearing in Astonishing Tales #12 (June 1972).
In March 2010 Marvel announced that a new Hawkeye and Mockingbird ongoing series would launch in June 2010. The title will be produced by the New Avengers: The Reunion creative team of writer Jim McCann and artist David Lopez. Promotional interviews have revealed that by the time the series begins Mockingbird is no longer an Avenger and the premise of the series involves her and Clint Barton (who has once again taken the code-name "Hawkeye") working together as agents of the W.C.A. organisation.
