No proper topic I guess for Batman: The Dark Knight, so I'll check in here. DC needsta get with the GG program! Reading #1-#4. Not heard a single good word about this... seems like beating it to... more

Jamie Hmm. Ok. I agree. How many diff stories can you have about Batman's life. Lol. I was planning on going to a comic shop this weekend. I just wanted to definitely get some new ones. Like JLI, Green Lantern, Detective comics, Superman, Suicide Squad and whatever else interests me. -
Christopher Bohne' If you like supernatural stuff JLD is cool, too... Superboy was shockingly good... and SwampThing is you like horror with yer heroes (at least pick it up to look at the art!). Red Lanterns is one I really like, but if you don't know GL really yet then ya might not get it. You get to go to Midtown comics? -
Jamie Yeah, I've been to Midtown comics. I was just at a regular local comic store looking for some #1's on things and its like they had everything besides #1's. I just picked up Batman#5 and The Flash #2. Makes me frustrated! Lol. I'm only going to Midtown from now on. Superboy looks interesting too.

Finally diving into the Bat Family of the New52 with Batman #1-#4... Which Bruce is in these pages? I've seen two different so far between JL & JLI. Scott Snyder is a freakin' genius though... I... more

Jamie Its cool. I was just about to go home from work and remembered there's a comic shop nearby so I stopped in to look. I just get frustrated when I really want something and can't find it. Lol. -
Jamie I didn't know Midtown had that appeal. I've been to 2 diff ones in the city. They really do a good job of putting up signs outside to show where to enter cause you wouldn't look twice walking past it. It looks like a doorway to an apartment building(they have their name on the door of course). And you go up this narrow set of stairs. Then you enter nerd central. Lol -
Christopher Bohne' Yeah! They are the TFAW of the East Coast... They have the same sorta service as TFAW. I'd use Midtown instead, but I started with TFAW while I was in Germany & I guess I'm loyal... I dunno. If they backorder another of my subscribed books, I'm gonna switch to Midtown.

FanRead Batman No. 5 "Face the Court" Trippy issue, touching final set of panels. Art is fantastic, but I'm not sure this really feels like Batman to me quite yet.

rm largent There definitely seems to be some payoff coming in terms of the timeline discrepancies at least with the titles I'm reading - tying together the JL and Superman titles. I don't really see how the Batman is going to play out, possibly through the Owls crossover. I am having a good time reading all these titles though. Really my first foray into new DC books. Been more of a Marvel/X-Men guy. -
Raymond Rose Yeah, the whole timeline discrepancy has been bugging me. If JL#1 is 5 years in the past, that makes Batman#1 in the present. At the time of JL#1, Batman is a major thorn in GCPD's side, so that makes him relatively new... So we're supposed then to believe that Batman goes through 3 Robins in the course of 5 years? I go through less shoes in that time period. -
Christopher Bohne' I always considered myself a Marvel guy... big Cap, Punisher, Hawkete, MoonKnight, Yellowjacket, Wolvie, Juggernaut, Avengers guy! But lately, Marvel's double shipping multiple titles w/ tons of off shoot low quality minis style business model/slashing diverse titles from their roster is pissing me off. Really loving all 12 titles I've read from the new DC: JL, Action, Superman, -boy, -girl, SwampThing, JLI, JLD, GL, Red Lanterns, GLC, and GL New Guardians, the only one I'll cut so far is Supergirl. I've already stopped buying the 2 Legion titles because that shit is too left field for me and MrTerrific & Static Shock, because those characters are hella boring to me (and don't warrant their own titles over PowerGirl or Lobo or Booster Gold or...).

If Bruce Wayne were real, would he be a Republican, a Democrat, or neither?

ERICK @KingSun Oh Ollie is openly liberal, that is why he's always fighting with Hawkman, who's 100% conservative. He donated all of his fortune several times and even ran (and got elected) as Mayor of Star City for the Democrat party. Most of the classic Green Lantern/Green Arrow run by Denny O'Neil is about his political views. About Hal, well, he's not so open about it, but I'd say Republican, probably. He supported a Republican candidate in Decisions and he's always arguing with Ollie about politics. -

Thinking about The Dark Knight Rises. Bane is going to be awesome. :D
-
Raymond Rose I was a little unsure... before I saw the trailer. To me, Bane was just a 90's gimmick DC created to get people to read Batman. But Nolan looks to have more in mind...
