If you've never been to this life-altering event, there is a documentary currently streaming on Netflix called Burning Man: Beyond Black Rock. It gives you a glimpse of life on the playa and a general concept of what it means to be a Burner. There is no true way to understand Burning Man until you experience it yourself but at least this gives you some information to help you decide whether or not you want to do... which you should. ;)

I honestly don't think I'd ever go to an event like this. It's really not me...(except for maybe the burning side of it...) but some of the photo journalism I've seen from the 2011 edition has been fascinating, it's got to be an edgy photographers dream.
