I've had CRPS since 2000 (12 years now).... Caused by a botched carpel tunnel surgery. It has been a nightmare ever since. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy......

I was in hospital january 16 for 5 days... go for treatments @ hospital / clinic every week .. and now after seeing Oncologist last week, well they are going to do another Bone Marrow Biopsy nect Thursday 4/6 i think. I have a FEW good days a week, thats about it..

Michelle Ward I'm sorry for all the pain you're in. I have a close friend who struggles with that disease as well. As I see it, there are two choices: live or die. I'd prefer to die, but I promised my mother that I wouldn't hurt myself (even though, it's all I think about). I don't mean to think about death constantly, but it's not easy being in relentless pain continuously, adding to that chronic depression and anxiety. It really sucks. I miss just being normal me. 😥 -

Do you use f/b? If you do, you can send me a friend request & then you'll be able to talk to me when I'm over there if you need some one to talk to! Thank you for your compassion of my situation, it doesn't help the pain physically, but it helps in it's own way to know that others feel bad about my having it. It's been the biggest struggle & fight of my life, it's now going on close to 20 yrs. of living in a "Pain Hell", as I call it! I never had problems w/ depression until about the 3rd yr. of living w/ the disease, then it came around, & it too has it's teeth in me! Well, I'd love to chat privately w/ you sometime! Kimmy Murrah Argotsinger--Loves Her Great Dane! @Christopher~~I've had ketamine injections, they did nothing for me, I literally paid my bill during the whole thing...the Dr.was amazed! But I don't know what meds they were talking about using for the med. coma...I agree, it sounds like Germany is the only country doing the coma's...Every other things I've heard about I've either tried over the past 18 years & they either didn't work from the get go or after "X" amt. of times, quit working...I did well the first 6 months on Bier blocks, but @ the end was only getting 2 hours of relief & my anesthesiologist said it was just too much to put my body through (I have a heart that is generally ok, but would act up during these times, along w/ other stressful situations I've had) for such little relief...so all of the blocks & epidurals stopped...I'd had 17 blocks, sometimes up to 3 blocks a week during the first 6 months of diagnosis! Over the years I've been here, there & every where! I've seen Dr.'s in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ala...

Kimmy Murrah Argotsinger--Loves Her Great Dane! I agree it's hard to find a good doctor, someone to help! I've been very luckyalk , I've found very good, caring, & supportive Dr.'s the last 3 states we've lived in...I'm sorry about your lucky w/ Dr.'s & all that...I think once you've served your country all should be done to assist you w/ your medical needs..You could have lost your life, the least a persons country should do is make SURE they get the fastest, best medical coverage that the country can provide, no matter if the health problem has anything to do w/ their time they served or not!!! Just my opinion! I know the VA's can be a nightmare to deal w/ though...my nephew had to travel across 2 states to get the surgery he needed! If you ever need a friend to talk to, whether it's dealing w/ RSD, pain, etc. or not, please don't hesitate to look me up! Here or on Facebook, I try to be a good friend, compassionate, & all that!
