We got a notice in the mail last week saying our power would be out today from 9am - 2pm cause they're putting up a new power poll. Glad my father-in-law is an electrical engineer & hooked up our generator straight to our breaker box.

Aaaarrrhhhhhhguh! That hurt! Electrostatic is not my friend! Why do I forget the dryer sheets?!

So I just walked into the kitchen & turned "ON" the light switch, and sparks came flying outta the light and my lights tripped...

Even worse, I can't seem to switch back on from my flat mains box, so not sure if there's another box somewhere that controls my flat coz the rest of the building has lights :-/

Kinda f*cked up coz it's heading onto midnight so I can't quite knock on anyone's door right now to find out - so I've less than 2 hours left online, and hoping my electricity is sorted out before my fridge and freezer stuff starts going bad! :(

Just got our power back. It's so nice to have heat again!

Is out in my town. We always have flashlights, candles and such ready this time of year. We are 5th miles from the biggest hydroelectric dam in usa and our power goes out all the time year round lol.
