Kelleigh Wasn't foggy? Nope, clear as a bell... so the black just kinda looks unlit. I like the orange because it's a lesser-used color, but the black would look niftier if the sky behind was grey/hazy.

Scotty Hal 6 active, 2 reserve... and yes... tons of places. every country bordering the Med Sea, multiple times, w the exceptions of Libya & Lebanon (for obvious reasons), and more port-o-calls than I can name up and down the Atlantic, from Nova Scotia to Venezuela... ultimately, was stationed in Norfolk, VA, where I remained post-Navy when I went back to school at Old Dominion U. -

Kelleigh Spring is nice too, but nothing beats a *crisp* Autumn Apple, does it? ;^) Cappuccino and cannoli in Little Italy, frappes in Astoria... the waterfronts, leaves in the Parks... I just love it here *happy sigh*

David ~ Damn! I look good Pumpkinized! Awwww.... You're killin' me! I love all of that! Tell ya what, you make sure you make the most of what's in your backyard and live each day to the fullest. You live in one of the greatest cities in the world. I will be visiting again soon enough, and when I do I will be tearing around that fair city soaking it all in again. :)

Kelleigh My fave part of the ESB is waiting for it to peek out from bet other bldgs, so you can see what color(s) it is! Been meaning to update my review to say that... and to share some places to get info on each night's colors.
Thanks, glad you both like the pic! The rainbow colors were in honor of NY passing the Marriage Equality Act... it was stunning and very prideful! -

Kelleigh It was kinda a pain to find the info a few years ago (I'd never remember to check the ESB site when I got home)... now, you can find out with just a few phone clicks. MUCH easier! I'm gonna update my review today or tmrw :^)
Agreed on the worthiness of the occasion! And for Pride Weekend, no less! I think the pic reps all the color possibilities of the bldg *and* NY's awesomeness for finally doing the right thing.
