Creole Chick Reminds me of my NOLA native grandmother and her endearing "yat speak." Always asking for her "shu-gah" (sugar) meaning a kiss, and looking for her "poise" (purse). Lived in basically the same area her whole life until Alzheimer's finally took her. They are indeed precious to us and vital links. :-) -

My grandfather passed away just a couple hours ago...even though you often see these things coming, it never makes it any easier.

My grandmother just passed away. I'm sad but she was 93 and has been battling cancer for 15yrs. Rest in Peace Grandma we love you and you will be missed!

TazzyTrish Thanks everyone she was one tough and loving lady, i feel worse for my mom, whom my grandma has lived with for the last 15yrs, and my mom has to deal with the loss and arraignments. But life does go on...no matter what we believe or think..
