IncrediMail Ltd. (NASDAQ: MAIL) develops and markets personal desktop software with a focus on e-mail client programs. IncrediMail was founded in 1999, and issued an IPO in January 2006 on NASDAQ.
It currently employs approximately 130 people, and has offices in Tel Aviv and New York. IncrediMail was founded by cousins Yaron and Ofer Adler in 1999. The company received its first full round of funding in 2000, with a $3.3 million investment from private and institutional sources.
Within a year, the company had developed and issued its first product, IncrediMail XE, which is still available as of March 2009. The program was distributed free of charge, and supported by advertising revenue. The company’s first revenue-generating programs were sold in 2001, and included IncrediMail Premium, which remains one of IncrediMail’s main products.
After a few years of increasing sales, IncrediMail went public in January 2006 with a NASDAQ IPO, and opened its New York office in June of the same year. In 2008, Founder Ofer Adler assumed the post of CEO, and IncrediMail signed a AdSense Direct deal with Google. It collaborated with Yahoo!to offer IncrediMail Personals.
Its CEO states that it also has an alliance with Oberon Media for online gaming.
