Growing up the my mom would get it really spicy so she use to wash it all the spices off and i would eat it like that....but i deff do miss this...makes me think of home =(

Granny Choe's is some of the best I have had quite honestly (www.grannychoe.com/) when I can't get it from my Korean friend's mom in New Jersey. I want to find a good way of making it myself. Found a recipe while watching Kimchi Chronicles that I might try sometime.

Advice on the smell ... put the jar in a plastic bag - like a grocery one even - and fill the bag with baking soda. It helps quite a bit.

Just ate this stuff, it sticks with you. Actually very good for you, so I've been told.
