There was a moment of utter silence and calm as they stood facing each other, he closed his eyes, and in that brief second his opponent swung his sword, keeping the creatures eyes closed forever.

              It's growing damp again, tides must be coming in. The salty sea air permeates everything,but it's been ages since I've seen the great white capped waves of the Mediterranean. Though I practice my martial arts and sword play I can feel my once taut muscles growing stale, losing tone, decaying. I've been trapped in this infernal maze for several years, they keep changing things, moving walls and blocking paths so I can never find my bearings and find a pathway out...but I do find the bodies of those who have been sent into this stone hell, and I shed my tears for their loss...
