Practically every other channel broadcasts in full screen or at least letterbox. I didn't buy a '60 TV to watch a '40 picture. Ugh & Rrr!

I was in junior high when MTV started in the early 80s. For a music junkie, it ruled my world. My early favs were Duran Duran, the Police, Def Leppard, the Clash, INXS. We would wait hours, days for certain videos. I remember when Thriller was #1, they would play it at a certain time (the long version) every day, and it would suck if you had practice or something else and missed it. It was great as the channel expanded and branched out- I loved the game shows, but was sad as they lost the music and became something else entirely. It did change my world. When I hear a decade's worth of music, the video plays along with it in my head.

They should just go with truth in advertising and label it GTV, for garbage TV. How many remember back to when it was worth watching this channel at all? No? Ok, I'll stick with POS-TV then.
