Punisher #4-5 - Damn I should have read this Thanksgiving issue last week! The artwork of these books are probably my favorite of the current crop, and that's saying a lot because there's a tremendous amount of amazing looking comics going around right now. Marco Checchetto is just killing it, setting a mood and a texture to these books that is rising far above what is expected from the medium.

Punisher #3 - Actually I'm not sure where this falls in line with the Marvel U, obviously the Vulture from this is not the one from Amazing Spider-man, and I'm glad because that would just be damn silly in a book that's anything but damn silly. I would buy and read hundred of issues of this, and I truly hope this creative team stays on for a while.

Punisher #2 - This book is a remarkable work of art and Marco Checchetto is the best thing to happen to the Punisher since Garth Ennis. I'm not sure why they'd pull in a character like the vulture into such an otherwise gritty and realistic book, but I'm still on board. This is after all, a comic set in the Marvel Universe.

Punisher #1 (2011) - Marco Checchetto's artwork on this is absolutely haunting, and is more that worth the price of admission. Oh, and this new series gets started with one hell of a gritty bang.
