Getting back into it. Just adopted a 1 year old black lab that had been treated very poorly. Sweet girl needs her own bed.

Finished the 6 placemats, working on the last 4 for the 4th order :D will be done tomorrow!

Getting pieces together for the nine patch center of my blocks for the next row. I like cutting all the pieces and then going row by row.

Finally sitting down to sew for the first time all weekend.

Just finished my first line! I can tell I'm going to love this quilt, even though it's going to be HUGE and probably a headache to quilt.

I hope I'm doing this correctly.

It's odd working on big blocks when I know I'll be back to tiny pieces soon.

Just finished the last block I need for the first row of what will be an 8 foot quilt. So excited and nervous. Now, to start sewing them together.

3 of the 6 placemats are done! only one more set of placemats to make after these are done :D

Finally got my thread for my quilt that I specially ordered!

My spiffy leather thimble just came apart! Wahhhhhhhhhhh! *sigh* Will go fall back to metal until I get it fixed.

I decided this was nicer that homework ;-) A lovely glass of reisling, Big Bang Theory, and needle work make for a pretty perfect evening.

That block took forEver! Kept doing things wrong. Lol... I'm so nervous about my first big quilt. I've only done up to twin before.

I have found my seam ripper. This block will be finished tonight, I swear it!

Sewed something backward! At least it's small! smh

Four more pieced strips, and I'll be through another block. One more for a whole line of blocks. I'm all excited.

Ok. The only thing I'm worried about with this first quilt of mine is the binding.... Other than that, I'm super excited about my next design and can hardly wait to get started!!!

Time to relax a bit and sew.

Whoops! Forgot to check in earlier when I got back to work. I was kind of "nudged" out here when my Dad's niece and her man got here. Let's just say I dislike her a bit. So I decided to come out on the porch/Florida room where my sewing machine is and all my other tools and material is. Another bonus, this room divides us by a sliding glass door. So if she walks by and says sumptin, I can just smile and wave he on by. Lol!

Wish I was sewing instead of being stuck in Geology. Have about half a block finished and waiting in my bag.
