Do you guys remember when I kind of got into it with my kids teacher a while back? And I came on here, and ranted about it? WELL, she ended up giving him student of the mo. For this mo. And recommended him for the gifted and talented program. ( which is well deserved because my son ( well all my kids) is VERY Gifted and smart and well adjusted and just all around the perfect kid, no joke, and I'm not just saying this because I'm his mom.) well, today is his science project presentation. So I plan on going shopping on a bit, to find something to wear with my new AWESOME knee high nautical grungy boots I just bought. I gotta be the HOTTEST looking MILF in his class. I hate rants, unless I'm the ranter, in which case I expect all you rantees to drop whatever you're doing and pay attention... immediately.... get that? got it? good.... As you were.

Ignore this if you are not in the mood for a brief rant: I find some of these newer tactics for being a guru super lame! While they seem to work (that is why they are catching on), I don't see how they help demonstrate your interest in a topic:

-Reviews that are primary pleas for being the guru
-Flooding a page with repeated check-ins that are just pleas for votes (a little goes a long way)
-Talking to yourself in a thread so people can vote on your comments, this includes the ABC's, a series of smilies, taking a sentence and posting each word as one comment. While I am sure these are all helpful...ugh!
-Spamming threads with pleas for votes or begging for followers, especially when you don't know the people talking
-Claiming you are being bullied or are somehow the victim when you are not. Explaining is not bullying. Trying to get or keep a guru is not bullying. It diminishes bullies everywhere.
-Starting the drama, them saying you don't want it.
