FanNothing quite like falling asleep with the wind in the trees and the rain on the roof of your rig.

Katya Laroche Get a used one of course. -
Don Yes I've been looking at a few older ones at not a high price. May buy one for this summer.

FanGot the RV to the park and got everything de-winterized and set up. It took forever, but it should be nice tomorrow.

Jeff Craig Sorry for the delay - got sidetracked at work and completely forgot to get back to you with the info. If you have had a camper van, you already have more experience than we did! You're best option when buying a used unit is to have the sale contingent on everything passing an inspection by your local RV repair shop. That way you're covered in case something pops up. -
Jeff Craig Sounds like you're looking at a 'Class C', which are very simple to drive. You just have to remember it is not going to fit in a lot of places, and you have to distribute the load weight carefully. I'd have the roof treated, since it is probably rubber, and plan on replacing the tires in the first few years. Make sure you get all the paperwork for the repair/upgrade work that was done. Also, bookmark the RVTravel.com site and Gary Bunzers blog (The RV Doctor). I'd also get a AAA or GoodSams roadside assistance membership, in case you have a breakdown and need a tow. My best suggestion is to READ! Get a subscription to Motorhome Magazine, read blogs about RV'ing and the model you buy, and talk to other owners. Hope that helps - ask me anything else & I'll pass on what I know. -
Don Thank you for all the help and tips. Will check out everything before I buy it.

Anyone have a winnebago Aspect 28T ? I'm thinking of buying one and was hoping for some first hand livability tips.
-
Jeff Craig @fulinn Did you buy it? Winnies are extremely well made, and I was looking at one before our Georgetown came along.
