You'd think sinking to the bottom of the ocean in a tin can with rising freezing water coming in to drown him, a head wound making him a bit crazy and the guy who was flying him doing the suicide thing to save his life would make McKay take a second and say "Thanks" or "Wow, I'm a lucky bastard"... but then that wouldn't be Rodney would it. Nope, only McKay can have all this and still complain that his dilusion of Samatha Carter isn't completely naked.

For once Rodney was right (at the beginning of the 1st ep) if they had listened to him, and not gone on the trek, they wouldn't have gotten kidnapped...and not had to listen to him complain for the rest of the ep about being poisoned lol! But he did redeem himself, saved the day by practically killing himself with an overdose of the wraithjuice--because rodney may be cynical and self-involved, but he will not lose his team-- they are the only one's who can stand being around him without wanting him dead.

Even Rodney gets to be heroic in this ep. And we see his sympathetic side when Gaul gets the life sucked out of him. Rodney's very complex, which is sexy in it's own way.
