Going to be in Rome for 2 days and 2 nights. Anyone have any traveling tips? Places to go? Food to eat? I have a basic itinerary so far but always accepting new suggestions! Grazie :).

This is my dream destination. I would go to Rome now if I could. I want to walk the museums and appreciate the masters, eat gelato, drink cappuccino and be taken away by a hot Italian man.

Kind of wishing I was there right now. My favorite place in Europe so far.

When i first arrived in Rome in 1973 I was aghast at the seemingly chaotic traffic patterns. I couldn't understand why there were relatively few car fatalities., until an Italian acquaintance explained it to me this way. He said, "You Americans are indecisive. You inch out into the traffic, unsure of where you want to go and whether or not you should take the risk to get there. We Italians simply know we are at point A and want to get to point B and we go." That explained it on some level I suppose.

I would love to visit here someday....I have been to Italy once, but not yet to Rome.
