If your dog is having trouble losing weight even when food is cut back, if they are lethargic, going grey at a young age or losing hair, especially in the belly area, have blood work done to check their thyroid levels. This med is a twice-a-day for the rest of their life thing, but you will be astonished at how they will change into a vibrant dog once again.
