I can remember the day 9/11 happenned. I was just coming in for work and it was on in the big conference room. No one was talking we were just in shock. One of my friends at work began to panic because she had a brother that worked in the building. It seemed so much like a dream but it wasn't, it was a nightmare that had come true.

My heart goes out to all the victims and their families tonight. Such a tragic day-one that I don't think any of us will ever forget.

Today is the 10th anniversary of a day that like December 7th 1941 has gone down in infamy.....

Today, at our church service this morning, Sir Dragon Preacher and I wanted to remember this day but to remember it as a day of hope as well as remembrance and so, we chose to observe it by honoring the members of our church family who serve in law enforcement, as fire fighters and as paramedics/emt's for being there when everyone else needs them the most, sometimes as part of their job, sometimes as volunteers, sometimes above and beyond what is expected of them.

It surprised them. But it was nice to see them so honored.

At this point the sadness, the fear & well, the terror set in. Since that day my ideals of what it means to be an American have changed.
