I'm obsessing over crime cases at the moment
-
Raw Annie @ashleigh_brown those excusing behavior through an examination of childhoods or rearing or what have you can be just a delusional as the psychopaths. I'm not saying I don't believe a person's upbringing can influence their psyche in such a way BUT it's often excused because of it. Possibly because it is so difficult for us to admit that, sometimes, darkness simply *is* without cause & influence. Hope this makes sense... -
Ashleigh Brown @rawAnnie I agree 100%, reasons such as a bad childhood would mean many more serial killers, why do some people turn a bad childhood into something to push them further in life and others let it destroy them? And even with a bad childhood, inside of yourself you still know right and wrong. -
Raw Annie @ashleigh_brown yes, exactly! That is the downfall of psychology- trying to compartmentalize psychosis/"illness" & using that as the basis for every diagnosis. So many things have an influence & all lives are so different despite similarities that we shouldn't generally label... I'm on a tangent & have lost my point lol Drat.

Possible new serial killer in Mississippi, may be pulling people over, posing as a cop.
-
TeamDeanSPN @dizzydaisy2 @ least the serial killer in BR wasn't pretending to be a cop. That has got to be difficult for everyone. People can't trust that they're actually being pulled over by an actual cop & the cops have to deal w/ that fact, which is going to make their job that much more difficult. Do they know what the killer's victimology is or are they just pulling anyone over that will pull over? -
Daisy I didn't hear the full story. but they found at least 1 mn and 1 woman shot to death. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything else. -

Markus @sarcasmrules Richard speck springs to mind. He broke into some young nurses quarters in 1966 and killed 8 nurses. Through some miracle the ninth one survived by hiding under the bed. Can't imagine the fear going through a victim. A true horror tale. The other serial killer was Raymond Morris. He abducted and killed several children before eventually being caught. Probably this has been going on since the beginning of time , just we hear more about it these days. -
Anette Have you watched the doco called The Killing Of America, very interesting! -
Markus @Ticianette no. Sounds good though
